Another Way To Enhance Your Auction Listings

Once you discover what is selling really well at the online auctions, and have a few items you want to list, it’s time to do your best to get people to bid on your items.

Of course, you are probably going to take a few pictures of each item and include them in your listing. That’s what most people do. But you want to stand out, don’t you?

Here’s a way to make your listing stand out – Include a video of your item. Show it from several angles and from several distances. If the item does something, demonstrate it in action.

If it’s an exercise machine, show it being used. If it’s a tool or appliance, show it at work. Whatever it is, take a couple of minutes of video showing the item so your bidders can get a better idea of exactly what they’re bidding on.

Pictures are nice, and should be included. But video will show your product in a much better way. There’s less chance of unhappy buyers when you show them exactly what they’re getting.

Shooting a short video is easy if you have a video camera. If you don’t, you can get a flip video camera for around $100. This flip video camera will take 60 minutes of video, and comes with software that will allow you to edit and upload the video to sites such as YouTube and AOL. And you can also capture still images from the video so you don’t have to take pictures with a digital camera separately. Click here to see what I’m talking about.

Even if you don’t have a video camera, it’s really inexpensive to get started using video for your listings. If already have access to a video camera, all you have to do is shoot your video.

You don’t have to create a long video and set up elaborate backgrounds. Make your video long enough to show your items in detail. You don’t have to add background music or appear on camera yourself. It’s up to you.

With all of the competition out there, and the fact that up to half of all auction listings close with not even one bid, it’s in your best interest to stand out from the other listings so you get the bids and the sale.
